Kundalini is considered as a sleeping, quiescent force in the human beings. In its passive form it not only takes care of our metabolic functions but nourishes our every thought, feelings and deed. But that is only small quantity of the energy the rest of the part is reserved as potential which is in its dormant state. Its like the divine cosmic energy which when awakened causes self realization in human beings,
According to ancient literature, one of the
chakra called as sahasrara chakra
is the abodment of lord Siva and it is present at the crown of the head.
The kundalini is regarded as the mooladhara
chakra situated at the base of the spine where devi Shakti takes her
place. The rest of five chakras are also responsible for other realizations in
our body.
The sahasrara chakra and mooladhara
chakra are two poles in our body
which are considered as the poles of creation .For complete realization of self ,the union of Shiva and Shakti is must. When they are separate ,the human being is
unhappy and is surrounded by materialistic world.
Through various types of meditation Kundalini can
be awakened. When the kundalini progresses through different chakras it results
into awakening of chakras. Finally when kundalini reaches the top of head
called as sahasrara chakra the
ultimate realization is achieved.
